A new job and a fresh start for Ben at ASDA Bangor

Ignite2 client Ben started paid employment last week at ASDA’s Bangor store. Ben had previously worked in events and hospitality, but like many former employees in that sector, Covid-19 and it’s devasting impact forced Ben to re-think his chosen career pathway.

Being in employment previously meant Ben had virtually no recent experience of interview. Supported by his Employment Officer, Ben completed accredited interview skills training, giving him the tools to approach interviews with more confidence and a better understanding of what employers look for in selection. He also attended mock interviews using zoom, adapting well to all the difficulties that method of communication can present!

Changing job and career path can be difficult for anyone in normal times, but at the most challenging of times Ben’s determination to succeed has been clear for all to see. Congratulations Ben from everyone at Orchardville.
