Celebrating Success for Autism Acceptance Week 2025
Ryan’s Story
Ryan joined our SkillSET programme in April 2024, eager to turn his voluntary experience as an administrative assistant into paid employment. From day one, he set himself a clear goal—to secure a job!
With the support of his Employment Officer, Ryan explored different sectors, but his passion for Computers and Technology quickly stood out. This proved to be the right path, and with the support of the team at EthleCare, Ryan was offered a paid work trial.
Fast forward, and Ryan is now a valued member of the EthleCare team. His confidence has soared, he’s taken on new responsibilities, and he’s even considering an offer for more hours!
Angus’s Story
With support from his SkillSET Employment Officer, Angus joined the Nando’s team in February 2024. Starting as a front-of-house team member, he quickly settled into his role and showed real dedication.
As Angus’s confidence grew, so did his ambition. When he was ready to progress, Nando’s offered additional training in other areas of service and Angus then secured additional paid hours. He is now supported through our Workable programme!
Throughout his experience, Angus has received consistent support from the staff at Nando’s and “brings an individuality to the team – it wouldn’t be the same without him.”
