Orchardville Launch new Podcast – Orchardville Talks
Orchardville are delighted to launch the first episode of their new Podcast “Orchardville Talks”
Hosted by two Orchardville Staff members, Kerry McDowell (Employment officer) and Rosie Oliver (Admin Assistant), each month the podcast will discuss different topics focusing on people living with a learning disability or Autism. Different participants and guests will be invited each month to discuss their experiences.
The first episode will give the audience an introduction into why the podcast was created and then the focus on Hidden Gems – a user led group, representing autistic people at Orchardville. Rosie and Mike, who are both in Hidden Gems, are interviewed by Kerry to find out why the group has been set up and what they aim to achieve.

Hidden Gems info:
Hidden Gems is a user led group, representing autistic people at Orchardville. They selected the name Hidden Gems to represent their value which is too often overlooked by people who only see Autism as a disability but once you take the time to uncover their potential they can really shine.
The Hidden Gems group will be working with Orchardville management to promote the needs and interests of autistic people and helping us to look at ways we can improve our services to meet those needs and reflect those interests.
For more information on Hidden Gems please email Louise Macrory – firstname.lastname@example.org
Orchardville, a registered charity and social enterprise, is committed to changing the lives of people with learning disability and autism.
We believe that with the right support, any individual with a learning disability or autism can reach their full potential and achieve their employment aspirations.
