Hosted by Kerry McDowell and Rosie Oliver, each month the Orchardville Talks podcast will discuss different topics focusing on people living with a learning disability or Autism. Different participants and guests will be invited each month to discuss their experiences.

Episode 2 of Orchardville Talks focuses on Stress Awareness Month and the importance of looking after your emotional wellbeing.

The first guest is Nathan McConnell – Orchardville’s Wellbeing for Work Coach. Kerry and Rosie hear about the his role and the work that he has carried out during lockdown with Orchardville participants.  Nathan also discusses some tips and advice of how to practice improving your Mental Health and the importance of talking to others about you feel.

The second guest, Danny, has been a participant with Orchardville for many years.  He has always had an interest is helping others, and over the last year has focussed on supporting people to reflect on their mental health and how to look after it.  Kerry and Rosie talk to Danny about how he teamed up with Nathan, in designing and delivering mental training for people with learning disabilities or autism, ensuring that we can all talk openly about how our emotions affect us, and the importance of seeking help and support when we need it.
