Introducing Orchardville Academy @ Ryobi

On the 26th of July 2024, we launched our ‘Orchardville Academy @ Ryobi.’ A new initiative aimed at providing specialised training, development opportunities, and the chance to gain a qualification and employment, with our first group of participants beginning their journey in August 2024.

What is Orchardville Academy @ Ryobi?

Orchardville Academy @ Ryobi is a collaborative programme between Orchardville and Ryobi, created to offer participants practical, hands-on training in a supportive environment. The academy focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce, with a curriculum that combines theoretical learning with real-world application. This 16-week course is divided into both theory and hands on practical training. Participants will have the opportunity to achieve an accredited OCN Level 1 qualification in warehousing and storage and get one step closer to securing a meaningful and sustainable job. Additionally, participants also receive a £30 weekly training allowance to ensure financial barriers are minimised and learning remains accessible.

Jason, one participant, said: “It’s brilliant! I love every minute of it. I’d definitely recommend people to join.” Another participant, Brian, highlighted the academic aspect: “I really enjoy being in the classroom, learning.”
