Orchardville operate a number of social enterprises that provide supported training and development, in real working environments, for our participants. These commercial businesses are a key part of preparing our participants for working life, while highlighting the focus we put on buying local and supporting local business.
Orchard Café Menu
Based on Newtownards Road in Belfast, Orchard café is a busy coffee shop, providing work experience and development opportunities for up to 6 participants daily. Participants are supported onsite by vocational mentors to achieve their agreed goals and ultimately secure paid employment.
Orchard café is an award-winning café having recently won Best Eatery in East Belfast, an award voted for by the public as part of the Eastside Awards. Orchard café enjoys a 5-star hygiene rating and we are proud holders of the Taste of Ulster award demonstrating our commitment to the use of local, high quality ingredients.
Due to the success of Orchard Café in East Belfast the demand saw a need to grow the service for Orchard Café at the Grove in North Belfast located in the Grove Wellbeing Centre, and more recently Orchard Café at Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate.

Orchardville Works Booklet
Orchardville Works provide a range of print, hand finishing and mailing solutions to customers. Based in East Belfast, Orchardville Works provides up to 12 participants daily with the opportunity to develop their employability and soft skills in a safe and supported environment.
In 2019 Orchardville Works celebrated its 25th year. During that time hundreds of project participants have accessed pre-employment training and support; helping each to improve their employability and social confidence.
Industrial Solutions is an innovative partnership with Coca Cola Hellenic based in Lisburn, where Orchardville provides a range of business solutions including manual repackaging, pallet repair, manufacture of stock keeping units, littler picking and cooler filling.
There are currently 7 members of staff with learning disabilities employed on site and a further 6-8 benefit daily from work experience in a supported environment.
